The Centre for Management Development (CMD) is set to hold the 16th Annual forum for Management Trainers and training Organizations in Nigeria on the 21st of October 2015 at the CMD Training Complex, Shangisha, Lagos, Nigeria and on the 3rd of November 2015 at the CMD Digital Centre Corporate Office, 48 Agadez street, off Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 11, Abuja This year’s forum is premised on the rationale that training is an important instrument for capacity building, improved performance and achievement of organizational goals; that new challenges in the environment have made the training role even more compelling. That in spite of the above, value orientation amongst trainers and users of training services is, however, often wide apart. This year’s forum has therefore been designed to evolve shared values amongst trainers and users of training products and to enhance quality of programme delivery. Forum Objectives At the end of the event, participants will be able to:
Forum Theme According to CMD, because this year’s event is strategic, the theme and the subtheme are carefully chosen to address some of the critical national issues. The main theme is “Strategic Leadership and Organizational Transformation: Harnessing the Talents in a Workplace for Higher Performance” and the subtheme is “Institutionalizing Human Capital Development in the Implementation of Quality Service Delivery”. Delivery Methodology Sessions will be delivered using lecture, discussion, role-play, case studies and practical exercises. Audio-visual aids will be used to reinforce these training/learning methods. Target Group Managers/officers who have responsibilities for training in Management Development Institutions (MDIs), Training and Consulting Firms, Supervisors of training in both private and public organizations, Trainers, Heads of Training and Human Resources Departments, Lecturers, Prospective Consultants, Senior and top Management Educators. Participation is also essential for accredited individuals, firms and institutions who are applying for renewal of the NCMD Accreditation.
